Ingredients
  • 8 medium-sized apples, peeled and cut into chunks
  • ⅓ cup maple syrup
  • ½ tsp cinnamon
  • zest and juice of ½ lemon
  • pinch of sea salt
Instructions
  1. In a large sauce pan, combine all ingredients (except sea salt). Cover and cook over low-medium heat, stirring occasionally, until apples are tender (about 10 minutes). Let cool. Once cooked, top compote with a pinch of sea salt for an enhanced flavor burst.
