I always joke with clients that I am not here to sell you tofu. But it is a less expensive plant protein that, when cooked properly, can be fast and takes on the flavour of whatever you cook it with. If you can cook chicken, you can cook tofu.
In this recipe, I marinate firm tofu in soy sauce, liquid smoke and garlic and then bake in the oven. You can use the leftovers for a fast protein topper on your salad or power bowl, or as an alternative to lunch meat. If you haven’t given tofu a try, give it a chance.
